What Our Community Values Most About CCCS: February 2026 Feedback Summary

Feb 20, 2026 | School Life

Children’s Community Charter School shares key themes from the February 2026 Community Feedback Summary, including what families value most, what students love about CCCS, and hopes for the future.

Children’s Community Charter School recently gathered feedback from families, students, staff, board members, alumni, and school leadership as part of the school’s strategic planning process.

This process included a community-wide survey as well as on-campus student and family focus groups. The goal was to better understand what the CCCS community values most, where there are opportunities to grow, and what families and students hope to see in the future.

The feedback shared in the February 2026 Community Feedback Summary will help inform CCCS’s 3–5 year strategic planning vision and goals.

Strong Participation from the CCCS Community

The feedback summary included responses from 50 survey participants, including current parents, teachers, board members, alumni, and an administrator.

The school also received an 8.6 Net Promoter Score, with many respondents reporting that CCCS has a positive reputation and that they would be likely to recommend the school to others.

This level of participation reflects something CCCS values deeply: families and community members care about the school, its students, and its future.

What Families Value Most About CCCS

Several clear themes emerged when families were asked what makes CCCS special.

The top reasons families choose CCCS included:

Small school size and small class sizes.
A close-knit, welcoming community where students feel cared for and supported.
Strong academics and quality instruction.

Families also shared that they appreciate the individual attention students receive, the compassion shown by staff, and the way CCCS creates a safe and inclusive environment for all students.

This feedback reflects what many families already know about CCCS: students are seen as individuals, and the school community works hard to help each child feel supported.

A Whole-Child Approach to Learning

Families also recognized CCCS for educating students holistically.

The feedback summary highlighted the school’s focus on social-emotional development, hands-on learning, leadership opportunities, and real-life skills. Families noted that CCCS helps students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally.

Some of the values respondents said are most present at CCCS included:

Growth mindset.
Accountability.
Empathy.
Lifelong learning.

These values are central to CCCS’s mission of supporting high levels of learning for all students while helping each child grow into a capable, resilient, and thoughtful person.

What Students Love About CCCS

Students also shared their own feedback about the school experience.

The words students used most often to describe CCCS included kind, safe, learning, fun, and responsible.

Recurring student themes included feeling safe, cared for, and connected. Students also shared that their teachers care about them, understand how they learn, and provide the support they need to succeed.

Students also appreciate the hands-on and active learning experiences that make school engaging and exciting.

This kind of feedback is especially meaningful because it speaks directly to the student experience. A school can have strong programs and strong academics, but students also need to feel connected, supported, and excited to learn.

Looking Toward the Future

The feedback summary also asked families and students to share hopes for the future of CCCS.

Students expressed interest in more field trips, larger future classroom spaces, a gymnasium, sports fields, a library, quiet spaces, more interaction with the CCCS farm, and additional outdoor learning opportunities.

Families shared that future planning should prioritize maintaining CCCS’s close-knit community, strengthening communication, supporting teachers, and creating a clear roadmap for the school’s future.

When asked about future facility priorities, families highlighted the importance of a multipurpose gym, a school library, science and art spaces, a specialized TK area, age-appropriate spaces, and a designated pick-up and drop-off area.

These ideas give CCCS important direction as the school continues planning for long-term growth.
