About Children’s Community Charter School
Building Community with Paradise
Children’s Community Charter School is a small, close-knit TK–8th charter school where every student belongs and all are welcome. CCCS provides rigorous academics, strong character development, and the emotional support students need to thrive in school and in life.
Who We Are
CCCS is a small, close-knit TK–8th charter school where every student receives individual attention in a safe, welcoming environment. Students are known, supported, and encouraged as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Why We Exist
Our purpose is simple: to ensure every child on the Ridge has access to an education that is both academically rigorous and grounded in character. CCCS students graduate with the skills, confidence, and values to build joyful, meaningful lives and give back to the community they call home.
Our Mission
To ensure every student on the Ridge has the opportunity to access rigorous academics, strong character development, and the emotional support needed to thrive in school and in life.
Our Vision
A Ridge community where every child grows into a confident, empathetic, and capable person, ready to continue learning, begin working, and contribute to the community and wider world ahead.
Our Core Values
At CCCS, we CARE for one another. Our core values belong to students, families, and staff alike, and are the foundation of every interaction at CCCS.
Community
A successful education starts when all students, families, and staff feel like they belong. Our campus is filled with laughter, healing, and gratitude.
Accountability
Families and staff hold students to high behavioral and academic standards, helping them build determination and resilience.
Relationships
Meaningful connection between students, families, staff, and community partners strengthens everyone who is part of CCCS.
Endurance
Drawing on the Ridge’s strength to recover and rebuild, CCCS teaches students to approach school and life with tenacity and optimism.
Our Approach
Our community-centered approach to education puts the whole person first and encourages creative thinking and problem solving. Students learn beside garden beds, draw real-world connections between life and lessons, and support one another through challenging seasons.

- A strong culture of collaboration and professional learning.
- Clear roles, consistent communication, and responsive administration.
- Career pathways for aspiring educators and paraprofessionals.

I came from the Bay Area to Chico to study at Chico State where I got a BA in Liberal Studies. I was a preschool teacher at Innovative Preschool in Chico for 5 years. I am currently working at Parent Infant Programs helping families with Early Intervention. I have been working with families for 13 years and I love seeing families and their children grow. I have a daughter who is currently going to CCCS. I would like to continue to help our school grow through serving as a member of the CCCS school board.

I am a Paradise resident and the proud father of two children who attend Children’s Community Charter School. As both a parent and an educator, I care deeply about providing students with the best possible learning environment.
Professionally, I work as an Educational Quality Specialist for a local trade school, where I support instructors, improve educational programs, and help improve the quality of instruction.
I am committed to giving back to the community that my family calls home, and I look forward to serving the students, families, and staff of CCCS and helping the school continue to grow and succeed.

I have called the Paradise and Magalia Ridge home for more than a decade and am proud to be raising my two daughters in this community. I currently serve as Recreation Supervisor for the Paradise Recreation and Park District, where I develop youth programs, community events, and outdoor learning opportunities for local families. I also coordinate Outdoor Education for All, a regional partnership dedicated to expanding access to meaningful outdoor experiences for young people throughout Butte County. As an educator, public servant, and Camp Fire survivor, I believe deeply in the strength and resilience of our Ridge community—and in the important role our schools play in its future. I am honored to serve on the CCCS Board of Directors with compassion, collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to helping every student thrive.

I am a Butte County native and have lived and worked in Paradise most of my life. I raised my children here and believe the Paradise schools are some of the best in California. I have a technical background and was the volunteer teacher at the Paradise Girls Who Code Club from 2015 until November 2018. I have worked in public service for more than 26 years. I am the current Assistant District Manager for the Paradise Irrigation District, where I am dedicated to providing clean and dependable water to the Paradise Community. I was appointed as a community representative here at the Paradise Children’s Community Charter School Board in 2024 and look forward to serving my term with kindness, dedication, and integrity.

I’ve lived in the town of Paradise for almost 50 years. I raised 3 children who attended Paradise Schools, were involved in the arts, and school sports. My entire career has been in the field of education: school secretary, day care provider, teacher, and I have a Masters Degree in Education
