Words Unblocked- sponsored by the Center for Educational Excellence in Alternative Settings, this website provides free Common-Core aligned poetry units appropriate for middle and high school settings.  Student handouts, teacher guides and presentation slides are included.

C-SPAN Classroom- a deep and accessible repository of primary-source videos and documents perfect for teaching about U.S. government, civics or economics.  The site also features lessons on topics reanging from caucuses to the Supreme Court.

Digital Public Library of America- The DLPA links the digital collections of U.S. libraries, archives and museums, making cultural-heritage artifacts searchable and accessible.  A user-friendly search function allows results to be displayed on a timeline.

Teaching History- A one-stop clearinghouse of history resources for K-12 educators, this site links to and reviews a broad variety of textbooks, websites and lesson plans.  It also offers professional development modules on the effective use of textbooks and primary sources.
